Hello, girls! ((:

Hope you're enjoying your hols so far. Apparently, on the day of the Youth Day Funfair, there will be something called the Fashion ROJAK! which is is a fashion show that will feature a fusion of fashion from the four ethnic races of Singapore.

It will be held at the podium in the quadrangle, occurring at various intervals between 10am to 2pm. A time slot of 10 to 15 minutes will be given for each dance troupe to perform. (alternating with Dance ROJAK!).

The fashion show acts as a means of demonstrating the idea of multiculturalism, which can be defined as a society that reflects the integration of diverse cultures, through the culture of clothes.

The theme of the fashion show is “Fusion Fashion” where costumes have to be designed using ethnic garbs of different ethnic groups matched together.The fashion show is also an interclass competition. Each class is to participate, designing one costume and sending a representative to model it. There will be a preliminary round when school reopens and a final round (which is the fashion show on the day of YDF).

There will also be a teacher’s round (teachers are encouraged to join) – something to look forward to! :D

Votes will be taken during the fashion show on the day of YDF, using funfair coupons. The finalists from each level and teacher with the highest amount of donations will emerge as winners of Fashion ROJAK!

So now we hafta design a costume based on the judging criteria (attached), and we need to pick a representative from our class to go! ((: The theme for our level is 'Malay Extravaganza' and we need to get our costumes together by Term Three, Week One. Our budget is ten bucks and we are encouraged to use materials from home. The preliminary rounds are on Term Three, Week One.

So, send me your designs and stuff and who you think should be the representative! (You can volunteer if you want to :D) Could y'all do so by Saturday please? Cuz we're really kinda short of time. Thanks so much!

Talking abt FPS, you all have to come back to skl on 26 April for time trial which is ONLY 2 hours. Mind you, I spent ages thinking abt problems and solutions =(

The topic will be on habitat I went to the websites that they provided us. Not very helpful but I suppose it's still useful. They shld have gave us some info on what kind of habitat. Maybe the websites would give some hints...

You shld be allocating your time PROPERLY like:
Problems-30 min
Underlying problem-5 min
Solutions-20 min
Criteria-10 min
Deciding the solution-10 min
Proposal-the remaining time (at least that's what I think...)

Our FPS Droid bee say one. If not feasible, not my fault. Go look for that Droid bee, dun come looking for me.

Mr Tan is... well... lame (no offence). But who cares? As long as you suck up to him (it's just exaggerating, you know, i like to exaggerate) and your agriculture presentation got a HIGH mark (like Yong Wei), it's good.

Hello! anw im beverlyn like duh rite from the title lol (: so life skills camp was fun but quite tiring. the part which i hate most will be showering! we only have 5 minutes to bathe which is far too little time! the other part will be the water activities part luh. cos im a non-swimmer so cannot join in. we just sat at one corner so it was boring. next thing was talentime! i was really nervous for talentime luh cos of the embarrasing line i had to say. but i guess everything turned out fine although we didnt win at least we won something for our green bee ;D so this is the end toodles:D gd luck studying for block test jiayou!

But erm... for the water activities, it seems that we can't wear our shirt, which is so unfair. But u guys enjoyed yourself, right? Although we did not win for talentime, all of us enjoyed ourselves. Work harder for the next time, k? I can't imagine us in OBS, must be living like a caveman. Jk only lah, hehe.

Your very nice but too skinny and trying to fatten up LA rep is here! First time blogging in the CLASS BLOG. Finally it's up.

Oh yeah. I hope all of you guys have read the newspaper (actually I only read the headlines, so... not as yong gong as you thought of me). There's this JI leader who escaped from the Whitley Dentention Centre. It's not far from NYGH. So be careful ok (of cuz, I don't believe we can be so suay)? Study for your block test and don't be too stressed. So many projects, driving me crazy ar. Let's sumarise our projects (torture time, MUAHAHAHA):

FPS (that sux, seriously)
Geography
Math SIA
LA SIA
CLC SIA

I only can think of that so far. If there are still any, pls remind me (I very chi dun one lah. So must be kind and lovely enough to remind me). Grr... I thought Geo was so good cuz very little homework and no project. But then teachers 没有一个是好东西的，so cannot expect too much from them. FPS is driving all of us crazy (if you are still sane, well, CONGRATS).

Pls remember to bring something for the noticeboard if you haven't (I know I'm not assistant class monitress, but looking at Shannon, pity her). Unfortunately, if you didn't bring, she's going to write down your names. MUAHAHAHA. But I myself also didn't bring lah. Going to print something our to paste on the noticeboard. A bee?
